The battle of local body elections was completed in 14 districts of Sindh in which the ruling party Pakistan Peoples Party, remained strong. According to unconfirmed and unofficial results, 195 PPP candidates won the general membership of the municipal committee, while 18 independent candidates won the general membership of the municipal committee. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 15 seats, GDA won 14, and JUI-F won 5.
In 14 districts, 332 PPP candidates were elected as general members of town committees, 55 GDA candidates and 38 independents, while PTI won 8 seats. Eight independent candidates also won the seats of UC Chairman and Vice-Chairman. The JUP chairman and vice chairman candidates won in three UCs of Qambar Shahdad Kot. On the other hand, there was an upset in the local body elections. The PPP was defeated in Kot DJ, the hometown of PPP leader Manzoor Wasan. GDA took the field in Town Committee Kot DG.
Provincial Minister Manzoor Wassan lost at his home in Kot DJ. GDA candidates won 5 out of 9 seats. Manzoor Usan had claimed that the PPP would win 7 out of 9 seats. According to the results, the PPP managed to win only 4 seats. PPP also lost at Larkana Town Committee Bada. Larkana Awami Ittihad won 8 out of 14 councilors, and PPP won 6 seats. Opposition response
JUI(F) and MQM have decided to knock on the door of the Election Commission after voting in the first phase of local body elections in Sindh province. MQM has decided to take the details of rigging, clashes and irregularities in the local body elections to the Election Commission with evidence. The MQM has said that everything that happened during the day will be placed before the Election Commission.
Clashes broke out in different areas of the Sukkur zone; as a result, voters were unable to cast their votes, and the voting process was restricted due to panic. Sources in the MQM said that it had become impossible for voters to find votes in the first phase of the local body elections. The MQM is of the view that during the election, it was observed that the election was held on another voter list, and the presiding officer had another list.

The polling time was also extended at several polling stations in the direction of the Election Commission.
